Coast Guard Bicentennial Unit Commendation

The Commandant authorized the Coast Guard Bicentennial Unit Commendation effective 2 January 1990. Awarded by the Commandant, to all Coast Guard members, including selected Reservists, civilians, and Auxiliarists, serving satisfactorily during any period from 4 June 1989 to 4 August 1990. The Bicentennial Unit Commendation may not be awarded to any individual whose entire service subsequent to 4 June 1989 is not honorable. People of other Services who were assigned to and served with the Coast Guard during this period are also eligible for this award.
